My Approach

First and foremost, my office is a safe haven for my clients, where problems and desires can be discussed without fear of judgment or ridicule.

I primarily use techniques adapted from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral theory, yet I am always abreast of cutting edge research and new studies that will help me to help you.

I begin with a comprehensive client and family history to identify, clarify, and assess the client's current needs. Throughout treatment, I continually reassess those needs and client progress, and as there is no "one size fits all" solution, I remain flexible in my modes of treatment so that I may best help the client succeed in meeting his or her objectives and goals.

As true change sometimes requires a team approach, I maintain an excellent network of associates and medical and psychiatric professionals who make themselves available for consultation. Additionally, I also maintain close ties with many other professionals in the Bergen-Rockland County communities that may benefit my client base, such as a: nutritionist, acupuncturist, attorney, accountant, career consultant, real estate agent, and webmaster, to name a few.

I strive to be the very best that is humanly and technologically possible. I maintain and continuously enhance my talent, knowledge, and experience whenever and wherever possible.
